ok - so next week I start on soft foods.

I need help and suggestions on what I can eat. All the info I have from the clinic just says soft foods like eggss and yellow veggies.

I could call the dietitian but last time I talked to her, she was useless. :)

I think the experts are you guys.

thanks,

My list is very similar to KRTORK

Protein:

  • use moist heat to cook, such as boiling, steaming, and stewing
  • tuna packed in Water
  • canned chicken
  • white fish
  • non-fat or low fat refried bean
  • eggs/eggbeaters
  • low fat cottage cheese
  • string cheese, or any WHITE cheese
  • low fat yogurt

Veggies

  • must be overcooked, mushy vegetables
  • try broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, summer squash and carrots
  • avoid raw vegetables

Fruits

  • mushy fruits such as bananas, canned fruit in its own juice (avoid canned fruit in syrup)
  • avoid the skin on fruit
  • watch out for seeds
  • some citrus may not be tolerated, ex...grapefruit, oranges and pineapples

Carbs

  • avoid carbs or starch vegetables

Hopefully all the info you get will be helpful.

This is just what I got from my dr's office, I am sure there is more!!

Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
