  1. So - am I right in: Turtle Jacks near the Brick Friday - Oct 17 at 7pm?????? how will we know each other.....
  2. i am so in....let me know
  3. My experience with hives is that if they are ALL over your body then it is something you ate. I had a breakout last year and they were everywhere, even between my toes!!!! I took prednisone and the itch stopped within hours.....
  4. I was on pre-op opifast for 2 weeks and lost 19 lbs....I am down about 30 now - depending on the day and I have had one fill
  5. Turns out it is a sinus infection....got it under control now. Thanks,
  6. I had my 1st fill yesterday...the hardest part was the nurse pushing around trying to find the port. I could tell where it was because it was still tender. I got 2cc put in and was on my way in 5 min....It doesn't hurt but I did feel the little needle prick. Piece of cake....low fat cake of course!!!!!
  7. Sandy, check your inbox....i sent you a message there
  8. Hi All, I was banded on July 29 and go for my 1st fill on Wed. I didn't suffer too much gas pain after surgery but about a week ago I started having gas that radiates up to my jaw and into my temple - feels like brain-freeze. I have this all the time - when I wake up, before I eat and after I eat. Has anyone else had this and if so, is it really gas and how can I get it to stop. This also happens when I bend over.
  9. Hello All, I have 2+ boxes of Optifast 900 left over that I am trying to get rid of - anyone out there that is preop and on a preop diet - let me know!!!!!
  10. thanks guys.....this is going to make my eating tastier
  11. ok - so next week I start on soft foods. I need help and suggestions on what I can eat. All the info I have from the clinic just says soft foods like eggss and yellow veggies. I could call the dietitian but last time I talked to her, she was useless. I think the experts are you guys. thanks,
  12. I always wear grannie's because nothing else fits!!!!!! (for now!!!) I was fully covered the whole time that I was awake. I would imagine that they worked on the stomach area only and from the utube video I saw they drape you and only that area is exposed.
  13. I was banded on the 29th and sure enough the day before I got my little friend. The clinic had already advised me if I had my period to wear comfy undies and a pad not a tampon - all was good - Aunt Flo was the least of my worries!!!!!!!
  14. I am so glad I found this thread. I am 7 days post op and have started the pureed diet. I pureed food last night and after I was very stomach sick. After reading all the post I guess it was too thick. I will go back to more liquid purees. What is the reason for not drinking Water during meals? I think this is the part that I will have the most trouble with - I keep forgetting this as I have always had water with meals. Ebeth - hang in there and take the good advise from these posts.
  15. wow - I can't believe some people. I have a neighbour that I won't tell because I believe she will view it as copping out also. She just lost 20lbs and keeps talking about it....well if I only had 20lbs to lose then perhaps I would try her diet!!!!! Copping out it is not - the pain of surgery, the measuring, the lifestyle change and for me the financial part is not something to take lightly. Hang in there and keep coming here for support.
