Month by Month progress till February

Recommended Posts

I am a pretty shy person when it comes to posting pics so I have removed my face. I don't know why it just makes me feel better I guess haha. Maybe I will feel better later on.

Ok. so since being banded I have become engaged to the man of my dreams. We have been together 7 years. My fairytale wedding is coming true! I have an all expense paid wedding to Kauai. We will be married on shipwreck beach in February 09. I purchased this dress that I am calling my wedding dress atm. I am going to see if I can fit into it. I plan on taking pics the first of each month to show progress.

This is actually the first pic for august since it's so close :wink2:

I was banded 4/23 @267 pounds I am 5'3. I am as of today 227.. so 40 pounds down. I would love another 60 but we will see.

Wish me luck!

I know the pics are horrible... as I am not wearing anything to hold me in. I will in the end im sure.

Congrats on your engagement and upcoming wedding, Brandy. I love your idea of posting monthly photos to share with us. Keep up your good work and you will most likely have to take your dress in at the seams by the time of your wedding. Good luck with all of your plans and your future with your man!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
