throwing up - NOT PB - liquids after??

Recommended Posts

ok, so the morning sickness is back after being gone for a few days.

had dinner tonight and it promptly came back up. i know protocol for a PB is liquids 12+ hours after ... what about throwing up?? i'd think the same, but to be honest, i'm really quite hungry.. havent eaten much all day and dinner was my only real meal...

thoughts?

I always do about 48-36 hours of liquids depending on how "bad" the episode was. But ya might want to call the doc just to make sure . Given the pregnancy you might need a slight unfill ?

And i dont know that you want to go for that long w/ liquids ?

So I would check ?

HTH

Good luck

Mindy

its definitely NOT a PB... ive been really nauseated lately and it was dry heaves then throwing up.

i'll put a call into my band surgeon tomorrow morning. im just going to eat mushies (3 bites of DD's pancake this morning).

i went in for an unfill a few weeks ago and she took too much out (done without x-ray assistance), so i'm actually going in for a slight fill Tuesday.

thanks!

told me to keep my current fill and come in for an unfill if it continues even if i'm not too tight... i dont like that! luckily, i've been OK the past few days although the sight of raw chicken makes me wanna hurl...

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
