Well im not banded yet so this is what Ive been doing since Im trying my "practice diet" of protiens first veggies second and fruits and healthy carbs last.

eggs

chicken

Cottage cheese

Almands and other nuts with protiens

Lamb

some pork (not my favorite but at least it adds voriety

I have exchanged ground beef for ground turkey although some people just get the really lean ground beef

I also still eat dairy for Snacks like lowfat yogart

Hope this helps, as far as lubes I cant really help you but here is something I like to put on my chicken salads for dressing and I think this could be used as a lube(?)

1 small cucumber

1 half white onion

1 small container of plain lowfat yogart

two table spoons of lowfat sour cream

and 1 table spoon of mayo

Put this all in your food processors or magic bullets and blend the hell out of it till its liquid. It may sound gross but OMG its so good over chicken with spinach, romain, ceaser lettus and a little shredded lowfat chedder. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Ohh yah and ull have lots of dressing probably enough for 4 BIG salads

Sounds like an easy substitute for cucumber sauce without the draining of the cucumbers. You peel the cuke, right? Sounds really yummy. Man, I miss Pita bread sometimes.

I do nuts (almonds), chicken (which is really hard for me to eat just yet) cottage cheese, yogurt, and Boost High Protien (15gm per serving). Surely I get in other protiens? Wow, maybe I'm not eating enough protien? OH! and tuna, which I haven't had in several days but it's good, too.

Good luck! thanks for the food lube idea, Bandit! Sounds yummy :)

OH! I use Italian dressing in my tuna for lube. Beats mayo sometimes. Also, salsa, ranch dressing, BBQ Sauce, gravy.

I don't know just how much I eat in a day. One yogurt, one boost, 2 ounces of chicken breast at the most, 3 ounces of nuts, all in a day. Other days I may substitute one of the other protiens...how many grams of protien is that? dunno.

I lube my chicken with hummus or else it's hard to get down. Also eat lo-fat, cottege cheese, lo-fat ricotta cheese & sometimes have to do a spirutina Protein Shake cause I don't always get enough. I've made ground turkey w/baked Beans & Tomato sauce, kind of like a chile & it was really good. Since I'm getting a fill Thursday & probably won't be able to tolerate steak, I'm having one for dinner tomorrow nite!

Hope this helps.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
