Thanks for the advice.

Hey could you tell me how to ad the ticker thingy?

Just click on the ticker and it will take you to the site where you can design yours. Just make sure you bookmark it. You might have to play around a little to get it right. Good luck.

Hey Everyone! I'm getting banded on August 21st in Denver, Co my mom is coming out from California a few days before my surgery and she was wondering if there were any seminars out in the Denver area between Saturday August 16th and Tuesday August 19th that she could attend. My doctor only holds them on the second Tuesday of each month so that's out of the question. If anybody know of anything in the Denver area between those dates it would be really appreciated! Thank You

Just my luck! I am on day 10 of my all fluids diet looking forward to my banding on August 6th. Then I get a phone call from the hospital today saying my doctor wants a copy of my last colonoscopy and hemoccult. So I call my gastroendenologist, and his office is closed until August 7th, a day too late. Then I called the hospital where the colonoscopy was done, and had a copy faxed. I picked up a hemocult from my primary physician which calls for a stool sample for three days. As I said, I have been on fluids for ten days. I hope this is do-able!

Had a complete meltdown today! I had to go pay the hospital in full today and I had an anxiety attack and could not breath. What if's kept running through my head:

What if. . I get sick and can't have the surgery? I have the surgery and it doesn't work? I have the surgery and end up in the hospital for a week (ok, well that did happen when I had my hysto), the doc decides he doesn't want to do the surgery? :wink2:

OMG - I am doing much better this evening. I have spent the last two months completely focused on this life change and now it is here! Well, just had to vent a bit - I know I must not be the only having a bit stress as surgery day approaches.

Hi Pumpkin86,

Did your doctor's office give you the info on EMMI so that you can go online and learn all about LapBand, pre and post surgery? You can give your Mom your PIN number and she can view the EMMI video herself and will get a better understanding of what you will be doing. Good luck with surgery and it's great that Mom will be there for you!

Patti, are you August 6th, too?

If so, I'll be thinking of you as the anesthesia starts!

Good luck to both of us - it's a good thing we are doing for ourselves.

I'm scheduled for August 12th!! I am nervous but excited. I don't have any pre-op diet except for clear fluids the day before surgery. I would love to keep in touch with all you Augusters!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
