July Butterflies Master Thread

Recommended Posts

Thanks for sharing I needed that, I'm with you . I;m gonna get back on track and back in the mind set, I know it's all up to me. Tomarrow is a new day and a new start:D So make some room because I'm jumping back on that band wagon feet first!!!! I got side tracked in my thinking, Seems like I forgot this was a lifestyle change when I hit goal. So came the gain.

I completely understand that the closer I got to wonder land the more relaxed I became with my thinking and well here I am.

Well I guess since the site changed none of the other Butterflies get any messages so they do not know to check in. That stinks, well I hope everyone is doing well.

I think with the new site you have to reply to a topic to get the new messages even if you have responded in the past. As for me, I'm still at 111 lbs down. I would like to lose about 25 more still. I have to make an action plan to get to goal. I'm stuck as to what to eat, because I have no appetite. food is basically a turn-off for me. I was a very picky eater before banding and I have run out of things to eat at this point. My diet has consisted of Protein Shakes, turkey sandwiches and chicken salads for the last couple of years. I just don't know what to do but I'm sick of my current choices and don't like anything else. I will have to come up with something soon. Happy holidays to all of you.

WTG!!! on the weight loss. Do you like tuna, eggs or Soup that might help to change the food up. Food is my issue I am dealing with emotional eating so I can't help too much. But it is awesome you lost so much weight.

Thank you 1 day. I do not eat beef, pork, or seafood. I've tried tilapia but I still can't seem to get past the smell of fish, so tuna is definitely out. The only meat I eat is chicken breast and some smoked deli turkey. I'll figure something out. I just hate to buy food, only to end up throwing it out, so I find myself eating the same food over and over. It's very boring and definitely not normal.

"Remember all those resolutions you made in the past? It's time to recommit to them. All signs indicate that you need to take better care of yourself. You've been so busy working that exercising has begun to feel like a luxury you can't afford. Actually, exercise and proper nutrition are luxuries you can't afford to ignore. You're burning the candle at both ends. Stop before you burn out completely!"

This was my Capricorn Horoscope for the day I think it says alot about what some of us are going through right now.

Well I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas. As for me it was great. I didn't make the Christmas goal so I guess I'm extending it to a Valentines goal. Which I have all intentions of making. The other night I woke up because I felt like I was drowning in stomach acid. I was gaging and trying to catch my breath and it happened again the next night but with the addition of coughing. Have any of ya'll had this happen? It didn't happen last night so I hope it was just a fluke because I lost my insurance and only have a fill Doctor here because i had my surgery in Mexico. I sure hope my band isn't gonna start acting up.

Kimaly - Sorry I didn't see this post. This happen to me,first I was told by my Dr office not to eat 2 hours before going to bed. You could also try Gavascon liquid if you wake up with it again it helps push the acid back down and has a numbing agent. However for me it got so bad I needed to have an unfill ( My Dr also put me on Prilosec for 2 months since my stonach was swollen) which I am so struggling right now since my Dr took out half of my Fluid. Not to scare you but I was not prepared mentally and have gain some weight back. I have gone two months with only 3.5cc and it has sucked but I go back the 4th for a fill and to do this right. Remember I am paying for cobra insurance which is 1300 a month but now it has jump to almost 1700 for the new year. We will most likely have to let this go which scares me because of the meds we take and what if something happens. I will not be offered insurance until Dec 2010 if they keep me as a part timer. I home they will need full timers soon cause then I will get insurance in Sept. Which is still to far away. I am diabetic and have HBP which got better when I lost the weight. Sorry to ramble I just feel terrible about gaining the weight. I feel ashamed. But I am trying to deal with it and fake it till I make.

Try the gavscon and not eating 2 hrs before bed and also try to sleep elevated a little this should help so you won't have to go nack to the Drs office. (Oh I pay 100 to see my Dr each visit so I do not go that often. I am sorry if I depressed you. That was not my intention. Love you girl keep strong.

I hope you have a wonderful and Happy New Year's 2011 will be our year.

You don't depress me, I am thankful for the input. Please don't feel ashamed, if we could do this without the band we would have never have gotten it. It's a life long journey with ups and downs. The price of insurance is outragous.and the price of meds is crazier. I think if they want health reform they need to control how much Doctors, Hospitals and drug companies and pharmacy's can charge. working class people might be able to afford medical if they weren't getting price jacked. Just one of my meds is $154.00 That's just crazy.

I hope your job keeps you and gives you full time, you deserve it. Happy New Year to you also, It's gonna be a good one because I refuse to let it be anything less. lots of love sent your way. And once again thanks for the help.

Kimaly - I totally understand the price jacking. One of my husband's meds is think 350 without the insurance that why we are trying to keep the cobra but I think it is a lost cause. We are looking into alot of different options before we cut the insurance. We will just have to play it by ear. Lots of love sent your way as well and yes 2011 will be the year.

Good morning gang! I finally found you again. Melissa you know my struggle continues.........Kimaly.......I have joined WW again for weight accountability. The struggle continues. I am still walking and going to the gym, but Christmas took a toll on my progress. I may have been knocked down.......but not knocked out . I still have not gotten a fill because I don't think restriction is the problem.......it is too many carbs.

Kimaly......how are you doing?

Melissa....if you can get the carbs under control I know all your other health issues will improve. You can do this!!!

Crzytchr......are you still with us?

Blaze?

Anyone want to share Resolutions? I am still working on mine. So far they are

1. Attitude of Gratitude

2. Take my Vitamins.< /span>

3. Journal

4. Do some kind of exercise everyday 20min-60min

5. Read more books.< /span>

still working on five more resolutions.

I think I am doing much better since I had my fill yesterday. He put 3 cc back in so that gives me know a total of 6.5cc which I can feel and still not as horribly tight as before. I also took yours and Janet's suggestions and bought smaller bowls. We can all do this and we will. Oh and I like your resolutions

Hi all,

I hope you dont mind me posting on here as technically I am a Sept 08 bandster. Sadly no one from my month seems active.

I know that altho I am more or less at target, I have become just a little complacient with my band and am not eating as healthily as I should be. I have returned to the site in the hope of finding some support and motivation. I also feel that I have a great deal of experience and positive support to give to others. Hope it is okay to join you guys.

I love my band....It was the best decision I ever made.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
