WOULD YOU DO IT AGAIN? Tummy Tuck - Body Lift
Having my TT done was the second best thing I did. Banding being the first. The results are amazing far better than I could have imagined!! Yes the scar is big, but as someone else once said, It is a smile on my tummy. With my knickers on or a bikini, yes I said bikini!! The scar is totally covered and at 49 I have a beautiful flat tummy and a belly button. My only regret is that it was not done 20 years ago.

What Op Do I Need To Reduce My Knees?
Hi ,I need a bit of advice and am not up to date on surgery tech terms. I am more or less at my goal weight having lost 9 stone. I had a TT last year with amazing results!!!! The problem area I now have is my knees. when I am sat down I have beautiful slim legs but when I stand up it all seems to drop to my knees which look so large compared to the rest on my slim self. I can literally pull up my skin to the top of my legs. Short of attatching suspenders to the loose skin to hold it up (lol) I am at a loss as to what to do. I am guessing there is surgery that can be done but do not know what this type of surgery is called to research it. If anyone could help or has had a similar problem please let me know. xxx

Just An Fyi If You Need A Tummy Tuck And Thigh Lift....
My TT is amazing I am totally over the moon with the results, even better than I had ever hoped or imagined. To be honest though, I cant say it made any difference to my saggy thigh skin which collects around my knees. I can live with that though it is easily hid where as my bulging tummy pouch wasnt. Not wanting to put a downer on anyone hoping a TT will cure a thigh problem, just saying in my case it didnt =)

Unfill For Plastics??
I heard five mins before my TT surgery that the surgeon was not going to unfill me. This terrified me at the time as I had always been led to believe that it was necessary. The surgeon assured me that it wasnt and that they could use a different anasthetic that would not cause sickness. He was right. I had no problems at all. Slight constriction for a couple of days but that was all. It was great not to have to go through the refill process as I had been at a stable weight for 2 years with no need for any refills.

Wow Wow Wow, I Got A Glimpse Of My New Tummy
Wow thank you for this. Now when ever I look at my TT scar I will now look at it as a smile on my tummy!!!. Having my TT was the second best thing I have done purely for myself. The first was having my band done. The results are amazing. In my late 40's my figure and flat tummy are better than they were in my teens. I now love my body!!!

Tummy Tuck And Port
I had my TT done without an unfill which worried me greatly as I was only told that they would not unfill 5 mins before surgery having always been led to believe that any surgery would need an unfill. They also repositioned my portal which having lost weight was very prominent. Now it is nicely tucked away.

Question - Body Image
Its a strange one isnt it?? I know exactly where you are comming from. I have been at target weight for over 2 years now and it is only now that I am able to pick up clothes mysize and know they will fit me withought thinking they look far to small and reaching for the next size up. I have to admit that I still look at other people and quietly ask my daughter if I am fatter than some one who I think is the ideal size I would like to be. Invariably she tells me in all honesty that I am slimmer. So even now I must still picture myself as larger than I am.

Old-Timers (3+ Years Banded) Recommitting To The Bandster Lifestyle
Hi i am a sept 2008 bandster. It was good to see this thread. I have not visited this site for so long. but have done so to help me with a bit of motivation. I lost nine and a half stone after my banding and have maintained fairly well over the last couple of years but I have slipped into bad habbits and know only too well that I am not eating healthily. Yeh I am a chocoholic. guess i always will be but have got lazy lately and am grabbing choc bars instead of eating healthy meals. Anyway day three of my new eating plan and back to the forums for support and motivation. xxxx

Any Advice
Thats great. You will def need his help. I told my husband and no one else. He was totally against it but I was adamant. Several years on even he agrees it was the best thing I ever did.

checking in
I am glad to hear that you have maintained and have not had any gains. I think that two years down the line it is so easy to become complacent. I know that this is the case for me. I think sometimes it does us all good to go back to the begining when we were all so focused on what we were eating. This is what I am trying to do at the moment =D.
