Positive thinking!

Recommended Posts

I came across some positive sayings that is helping me with my journey, in the process to get banded late july, see the doc and dietician july 2.

"RULE YOUR MIND OR IT WILL RULE YOU"

"ITS NOT WHETHER YOU GET KNOCKED DOWN, ITS WHETHER YOU GET UP"-vince lombardi

"INSTEAD OF GIVING MYSELF REASON WHY I CANT, I GIVE MYSELF REASON I CAN"

just some quotes that i tell myself that help get through the day, this world likes to drag you down, be overweight exct.. with all the food ads, fast food chains, doughnut shops, pizza ;all about the money and they dont care what happens to you. I am 6-3 355 and had enough how i feel, I am ready to make change and live healthy for myself and family. Every man on here that has lost weight is in inspiration to me, because i know it can be a struggle and you all are great examples that it can be done. The best of luck with your journeys and will be right behind you.

Of all the processes toward getting banded I enjoyed visiting the dietitian two months before my surgery. She open my eyes to how I had a destructive way of eating and realizing that I needed to change. I also met with a dietitian the week before just to get the information burned into my memory.

Knowing that the band is just one of the tools toward weight-loss and not depending solely on the band is a key. Making good choices is also a very positive.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
