WALKING ON TREADMILL before your 2 before your 2 week post opt appointment?

I know that walking is important after surgery. But does anyone know if

it's ok to use the treadmill before your 2 week post opt appointment? I

have a membership to a gym, and because it's starting to get warm and

muggy today I thought it would be a good idea to go there instead of

walking around my neighborhood. What do you think?

Thanks

Heather G

My doctor told me walking was fine as long as it wasn't in excess. I would say it's a natural function so I am sure it's ok. Just make sure to listen to your body and not over do it.

I was at the gym on the treadmill one week post-op. Granted, I was only doing like 2.5 for 30 minutes. But, I think the key is to just get moving, don't overdo it.
