    Kettle Bell exercise

I got in great shape working out with a trainer who used kettlebells exclusively. There are alot of videos on youtube showing different moves and workouts, they are very informative and will show you proper form and intensity. Just make sure you start out slow, if you do too much too fast, there is a good possibility you could injure yourself. Good luck! T
  2. Pandaluck, I am still fairly swollen, so I am not sure what the end result will be, but for the most part they are looking pretty good. I also had him lipo my knees while he was there so I am swollen from the knees up, but the chubs between my legs were gone immediately! Good luck, you will do great. T
  3. I had a tummy tuck and inner thigh lift on May 7. To be honest with you, the recovery was very difficult. There is just no way to avoid putting stress on that area. I did have incisions open up, and from what I understand that is very common. However, at 6 weeks post-op I was back to work and back to the gym, including spin class. You should be fine for your return to school, just take it easy and be patient, healing in that area is a slow process. HTH Tracy

    Spining

I AGREE!! In fact so much so I became an instructor:thumbup: Tracy
  5. I had the inner thigh lift on 5/7 and the jury is still out on whether or not I am happy with it. The incision along the right side opened up, which my dr. (now) tells me happens to about 90% of the people who have this procedure. The healing process has been slow, actually worse than the healing from the TT. BUT, on the upside, I saw immediate results with the little chubs of fat between my legs being gone immediately. My doc said it will look better as time goes on. Will let you know when I decide if it was worth it. Tracy
  6. Looking good Sue Magoo! Tracy

    post op tt pics

Wow! you look great. You have healed really nicely. Question- do your stomach muscles still feel really tight? if not, when did that feeling go away? Tracy
  8. Josie and Sue, It's funny how we all had similar surgeries within days of each other but we all are doing so differently. My energy level and emotions are both great, but I am struggling physically, which really surprises me as I was in really good physical shape going into this- working out with a trainer 3 times a week, and just getting certified as a spin instructor. I guess I underestimated how much this would knock me off my feet. I was just able to sleep in my bed (the whole night) last night, and have only been able to walk around the block a few times. I also still have one drain left in. I am almost able to walk upright, but not quite all the way yet. I remember reading Juli's post awhile back saying that these surgeries weren't for wussies, and really believing it, just not thinking it would really happen to me. I know that this will all be worth it in the long run, but for now it sure does suck! So hang in there girls, we are all going to make it through this, and we will be FABULOUS! Tracy
  9. I know your question was directed at Josie, but hopefully I can give you some helpful info. I had tt and inner thigh lift on May 7th. I have been at "goal" since Sept. The procedures I had done cost me $10,100. I live in the Sacramento area, and had my surgery by Dr. Green who works at Sacramento Plastic Surgery Center. If you have any other questions, I would be happy to answer them for you. Tracy
  10. Wow! You are doing great. I am so worried about gaining weight while I am down and unable to exercise, have you been able to keep your weight stable through all this? Can't wait to see your before and afters, its gotta be a good feeling to be able to look down and see your feet. I am just so excited, only 2 more days, and I will join you guys in the flatlands. T

    OH Juli's Plastic Surgery

Holy crap Juli! you did spin class today? I am WAAAY impressed! Aren't you only 2 weeks out from surgery? My dr. told me it would probably be 3 weeks before I could even go back to the gym. How are you feeling? T
  12. I am glad you are doing so well, gives me hope as I go in on Thurs. to have tt and inner thigh lift. It is good to see all of those who came before me doing good. T

    OH Juli's Plastic Surgery

Okay, so I just got off the phone with my PS's office, and they have moved my date UP. I will be having my "work" done May 7th now instead of the 22nd. OMG, I am so nervous and excited all at the same time. Wonder what I will look like when this is all over, will I (please, please) be tiny? God, I hope so. T

    OH Juli's Plastic Surgery

Hey Juli, It sounds like you are doing really well. Reading your post made me so glad that I spend the HOURS I do at the gym. Hopefully, when my surgery is done I too will be tiny. Can't wait until you are able to post your pics, you are really an inspiration, just wanted you to know that. T

Oh wow! I am so excited for you guys! My surgery is scheduled for May 22, which seems so far away, but will fly by I am sure. I will be watching this thread closely to see how y'all are doing, I am sure you will both do great! T

    OH Juli's Plastic Surgery

Juli, You ARE absolutely awesome! Please keep us posted as to how this all goes, as I am getting ready to take this journey pretty soon myself. As soon as funds become available I will be doing a TT and inner thigh lift. Its looking like around April for me as well. Can't wait to hear how it goes for you, but from reading posts you have made on other forums, I know you are one strong chicka and will do just great! T
  19. It sounds as if you have found that elusive "sweet spot". Thats exactly what I was thinking, just because I have never had too much restriction, was always able to eat pretty much whatever I wanted, but I have been fighting this last 15 pounds forever, and decided a fill might be just the ticket. Hopefully now that my band is working for me I will finally be able to lose it. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences, will definitely wait it out and accept that my band is actually working! T
  20. Hey bamagal, How are you doing with your fill now? I am in exactly the same spot you were in, got filled on Wed. and am hoping if I can wait it out a few days, it will loosen up some. Today is better than yesterday, I have been able to keep everything down, which is a HUGE improvement!
  21. Yeah! This picture was taken at my DD's wedding yesterday. Isn't my mom just the cutest! After 9 months I made it to goal, Size 6! This dress hung in my closet for three years, so dang happy I was able to finally wear it. Tracy

    Getting it done

I haven't posted to the blog in a few days, but I am proud to announce that I am FULLY re-committed. This last 20 lbs. had better watch out because I am coming for it! The exercise is back on track. Got up at 5:30 this morning and did the spin bike for half an hour before getting ready for work. Then I just finished a 60 minute run. Worked out with the trainer from hell last night and received my usual ass whooping. Just when I think he has pushed me to my limits, he ups the workout, adding new exercises and heavier weights. He just got certified as a russian kettlebell expert trainer so lots of workouts revolve around those evil things! I am glad my friend introduced me to him though, because he is really very good at what he does, and I am seeing results, which is what I pay him for. Happy to report that the eating is back on track as well, which makes a helluva difference. I have been packing my lunch again, which is a huge help. You can't eat what you don't have, oh yeah, I work in a grocery store there is food all around me. But I am the Produce Manager so that SHOULD keep me on track, lol. Anyway, just wanted to put it out there that I am back and I am bad, and I am through with this 20 lbs, they are as good as gone! Bye for now ICDT T:lol:
