Was banded April 28th down about 35 lbs. Had my first fill May 23rd. Not unhappy with the weight loss but only lost 5 lbs since my fill May 23rd. Seems like I plateaued. My appetite seems to be some what back as well. Scheduled for another fill July 18th. I guess my question is will I experience a difference with future fills? Will my weight loss continue?:confused2:

i think it is too early to say that you have hit a plateau.

If you can say you have lost 5 lbs since may 23, then you are losing, right? and if you have not lost anything since may 23, then chew on this...i went for almost a full year with out seeing the scales budge.

THAT, my friend, is a plateau.

so, i tell you this to say...dont get discouraged so quickly. i was banded 2 years ago in march, and i am now 20 lbs from goal (met my first goal, made a new one). this can be a slow process. hang in there and dont lose your faith!!!

best of luck to you.

I was banded April 23 also. I have my first fill tomorrow. I haven't lost at all since surgery. Although, I don't eat as much as before. Do you think Im not eating enough? I sure hope this thing works... Im getting a little worried.:(

I have not lost in 2 months and my last fill (3 wks ago.) gave me great restriction for about 2.5 weeks but still no lbs. lost . I did start exercising about 2 months ago. Started running, could do almost a half mile without stopping, now I'm running 3 miles without stopping. Could I be putting on muscle mass and losing fat?

That sounds like exactly what you are doing. Have you talked to a trainer about it? Building muscle will raise your weight and burns off fat while you are at not working out, even when sleeping. Are you also doing resistence training?

No resistance training yet, just cardio. Might start a little weight lifting today after I run my 5K.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
