I went for my 2nd fill yesterday. I definitely feel some restriction now!! When I went for my appt. yesterday, I told the doctor that I was a little disappointed because I only lost 3 lbs in a month. He explained to me that my band was too loose. He patiently explained how he needs to keep adjusting/filling until we reach a spot where I feel good restriction and get that "full" feeling.

So, I have a 5cc band and it was filled to 2.25 yesterday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I see much more weight loss this month!!!

I got my 2nd fill on 6/10. I've only lost 1 lb since then. I was worried it was going to be to tight, but it's not. 1st fill was 2cc 2nd fill 1 cc.

Can you tell me how to add the ticker? I've been searching on how to do add it, I already created one on ticker factory.

I also went for my second fill yesterday. I now have 3.5 cc in a 10 cc band, I can tell that I have some restriction/swelling. My doctor will only increase in 0.5 cc increments from now on, but did say if it took 4 or 5 fills that he would do the next under floro to make sure I had good restriction then. I hope the weight loss goes faster now. Sharon

Surgery Date: 4/29/08

Surgeon: Russell Gornichec, OK

First fill: 6/3/08 (3 cc)

Second fill: 6/23/08 (0.5 cc)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
