5 weeks post op and I have a question...

Recommended Posts

Hi all. I am 5 weeks post op, and have done pretty well up to now..... I am scheduled for my first fill on 6/30 ...... any ways I have noticed that I am getting hungry faster (real hunger.... not head hunger), and and needing more to fill me up over the last few days (I am back on solids) .... is this normal?

I was banded on May 20th and noticing some changes. I've had a lot of stress the past 3 weeks and was putting the blame on that.

Tomorrow is a new day and I'm going to be working out every day on my lunch break- hopefully this will eat away those extra calories I've consumed.

Also, I was thinking about committing 1 day a week to just liquids... has anyone else tried this? Is this ok to do?

On to the ticker problem... Click on your ticker- the website will pop up!

Click on Edit/Update Ticker... fill in your new info and then click next.

The new info should automatically be updated on your ticker, no need to repost to your signature.

I was banded May 19 and I am so hungry and can drink and eat just like before the surgery. I am taking it one day at a time but I am hoping so the fill will help .. It helps to know others are feeling the same way .. I am eating 1/2 cup of food every two to three hours and trust me I don't let more than 3 ours go by.. I will be thinking of you all and keep posting to let me know how the fills do and if they help...

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
