anyone felt a kicking feeling in side

Recommended Posts

I was banded on Monday June 16th. Doing pretty good on clear fluids. I was got up and went to work today was a little overwhelemed after a couple of hours so I came home and laid down. I felt a kicking/popping sensation in my left side that is now soar if I sit up. Anyone else had this? Im afraid my band opened or my port moved? Or could it just be the gas?

Please advise

Hi jenniferg, I was banded on May 29th and right away i started feeling like i had a baby inside me. It was kicking and flipping all over the place  My stomach got so sore and sensitive to the touch. Everyone kept telling me that it was just big gas pockets. Everytime i coughed or laughed it felt like something was ripping inside me. I finally called the doctor and they told me that it was only my port. That my muscles were having spasms because it had a foreign object touching them and it was trying to kick it out. But don't worry it does get better. It is still sore to touch but the spasms finally stopped. Good luck and if your concerned then call the doctor.

I had the same feeling of kicking and it was a tremendous amount of gas. You could even see my stomach moving.

I never had any port pain...I know that lots of people do. I did, however, pull a muscle in my stomach from getting in and out of bed. I would call the Dr. if you are concerned. Although, I'm not so sure that he would be able to determine anything at this point or not. Feel better!

I thought there was a war going on inside my belly after I got banded. It was loud and unruly.

It has definitely calmed down now -- I'm 14 days post-op and I'm actually starting to feel quite "normal" now.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
