I have seen this term several times....it is usually mentioned along with "sliming" so I assume it is not pleasant. Could someone please explain?

Yes it is associated with sliming. It means literally Productive Burp. If you eat small bites and chew thoroughly, waiting before taking another bite you can avoid the pain and embarrassment of a PB. It helps to focus on your eating while you eat. I have had it happen when I am eating with friends and talking. If I don't focus on slowing down I revert back to the way I have eaten all my life and soon I am abruptly reminded I wasn't focused.

It sucks, for me it's happened a few times but only when I'm eating alone for some reason. Definitely focus on your bite size and your chewing, never happens when I do.

Slowing down definitely helps. Saturday I PBd all over myself on the way to a dance recital, talk about embarrassing. Fortunately it was a hot day so I found a sink, washed up and dried quickly as soon as I went back in the sun. We had gone out to lunch before the recital and although I didn't eat a lot, I guess I ate too fast and talked too much because about 15 minutes later (as we were in the car and on our way on a busy street) here it came.

I haven't done either BUT I have eaten way to fast on several occasions and felt like I had a golf ball in my throat. I am trying to learn to slow down. I am a police officer and I worked graveyards for 25 years. We only had 40 minutes to eat and I learned to eat fast now I have to unlearn that behavior.:)

I had my first PB experience today. OMG! I never want that to happen again. I was out to lunch with a friend, and ate too fast and didn't chew well enough. Horrible.

I've been fortunate and haven't PB'ed One of the girls I work with has PBed quite a few times according to her. I still eat a little to fast and get that 'golf ball' feeling in my throat.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
