I've been lazy with the exercise lately.

I need some motivation that will kick my ass in gear.

The past 5 days I haven't done ANY exercise.

Usually I at least walk 2 to 3 miles a day. Blah

go to the Y (or thru work or your local city park) and sign up for lessons of some kind. join a team and DIVE IN.

i hate "exercising," but love to go out and PLAY. find someone to play tennis with or find a court that offers a tennis ball machine (then you can just PLAY without apologizing for being a begginer or for being slow :frown:).

looks like you spend a lot of time on line. maybe you can challenge yourself to spend at LEAST as much time MOVING your whole body as you do wiggling your fingers on the keyboard. Balance is the key to everything.

now log off and go PLAY!!

join one of the exercise challenge threads.

there are some great people that encourage you when your down & lift you up when needed.

it's also great accountability, if that's something you need.

find something enjoy doing - it then doesn't feel like a chore.

cheers~

Waht do you do when your "being lazy"?

I use do it to. Then I noticed 50% of my lazy time was sitting watching TV. SO, I got a treadmill and put in front of the TV. I watch 1hour of my shows and get 3 miles of walking in.

Go on and be lazy. The weight will fall off all by itself. How's that for sarcasm?

Just give yourself an end date for the laziness. Like I get one more week then I need to get real so I can achieve my goal.

the challenges confuse me or i probably would. I got some new exercise videos today. Been sick so havent been doing much just a little walking, waiting for the sun poisoning to stop kickin my butt.

Can anyone explain the challenges to me...would appreciate it. Thanks for the motivation.

so froggi - the challenges are the ones you set for yourself.

at the beginning of each month you decide your exercise goal - and everyday or several times a wk check in to rpt what you've done.

go drill down into those threads to see what's posted to get a better perspective.

if diet is also an issue - you'll find it's very easy to make healthier food choices if your active consistenly.

Maybe you should sign up for Water aerobics. It is low impact and you still get some exercise out of it.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
