Anyone else close to being under 300lbs????

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone, When was banded in 12/26/2006 I was 335, I got down to 289, and then I had a baby and lots of stress(baby born 11 weeks early) So Im starting over, I was 338 when I had my band filled(7/14) again(was empty while I was pregnant). I was so happy to see this thread because many times I have been made to feel I was to 'large' to be banded. So Ive lost 1 lb so far...38 lbs to the "2"'s

VanWest-Congratulations on your new baby. Hope everything is going good now. I can't imagine the stress of dealing with an early delivery, no wonder you had to put your journey on the "back burner"!!!!

Now for the good news... As this baby grows and by the time your chasing them around on a play ground at a park... do you have any idea how much better you are going to feel???? How much energy you will have for your child???? Just think as you get restarted and recommit to getting on track, how much both of you are going to benefit!!!!!

:biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2:

Welcome back to taking control again!!!!!! Best of luck to you!!!!

Tess

I'm at 299 this morning! That is too close to 300 to Celebrate yet! When I'm 295 then I'll know it's real and it's going to stick! Boy, nothing gets you back to Protein Shakes and exercising like being that close to a personal goal though!

Yippee! Well, it's official. I'm finally under 300! I weighed 295 on my scale this morning. I've been adding 3 lbs to that number b/c that seems consistent with my doctor's scale. I am so excited! That gives me a total of 55 pounds lost! Now, my next goal is to hit the 75 pounds lost mark. Just 20 pounds to go. Let's all do it together!

It's funny how for most of my life the scale has been something I avoided. Now, I can't wait to hop onto it Sunday morning so I can see my progress!

      I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
      I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
      Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

      Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

      Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
