Got Fill #2....Freakin Finally!

Recommended Posts

Yay!!!! I'm happy for you. I noticed a big difference on my second one. I get my third, if I'm lucky, next week. What size band do you have Ready? Can you tell a difference yet?

Awesome! I hope you get good restriction with it. I was really lucky and hit my sweet spot on the second try.

I think I have a 14cc band. If I remember correctly. My first fill was 2cc and this was is 4cc so I now have 6cc in there. She was worried it was too big of a fill and I said "Girl, for $150 I want you to pump it in by the gallon". I could swallow the Water just fine, but I haven't eaten yet....I guess we will see.

Man I am looking at my post and I just love these (...) I need to learn to stop doing it. In my mind it represents thinking, or a pause. I edited to take out two of these (...)

That would be so cool. Hopefully I will follow in your ever thinner footsteps.

I thought I was the only one who did that. I am so bad with it when I'm chatting or messaging. And you're right...it's like a pause. LOL

Give us an update on your restriction progress since you are probably on solids now.

I'm doing good with it. It's not nearly as tight as I thought it would be. I'm eating ALOT less, but solids are going down just fine. I haven't got stuck or anything...but then again I am being really careful. I haven't got on a scale since the fill, but I know I have lost weight. I would say I am pretty happy with it.

Apparently, I need aggressive fills to make a difference. Thanks for asking.

Love em too. To me they are a longer than comma pause. Kinda like joke punchline pause. And I really love em at the end of a partial thought. Can't think of an example now just know it looks like this.

So.......

Anyway.......

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
