Hey too all ND bandsters!

I have not been checking in lately. I have been doing well and had trouble getting into the site. Finally got it going again. I think it was with my computer. My son fixed it for me.

Does anyone still get together for a support group anywhere? I know there is one the medical people do but I did meet some gals from Bismarck at Red Lobster once. Would love to do that again. I live in Minot and I do have a friend here who has a band and we could come together.

I am just at the 50 lbs mark. My loss has been slow but sure. I think the best part of being banded is that the weight does not seem to come

back once I have worked hard to lose it. Before I could put back on a 5 lb loss in a week end fling. Now I have obvious limits and I don't have any choice in the issue. I still sometimes have things I shouldn't and suffer some for it but feel good as a rule.

If any one would like to respond I would love to converse.

Darlene

I noticed your last reply and it is a month old; however, if you are still needing some good talk and support I live in Bismarck. I was just banded on Monday and am sure I will need support and right now just the courage to get through this liquid stage. I am willing to meet in Bismarck if you can find others to join. I am a teacher so am not available during the school year until after 4 or of course on those break days. Would be happy to be part of the N.D. Band.

I'm a ND Bandster too! Banded 7/23/07 in Grand Forks by Dr. McColl. Would love to talk with other folks from the area.

I Started the pre dieting process in May and as of today I am down 38 pounds, and two pants sizes.

Had my first fill last friday and my chest feels tight (ALmost like gas pain) after I eat, but otehr wise I feel great!

No one has posted on here in a while, but I live in Bismarck and am being banded on 5/28/09. I would love to find some other bandsters for support and encouragement. Do you folks still meet up?

Hi! I am from Fargo and will also be having surgery with Dr. MacColl. I completed my 3 month pre-op diet and am just waiting for insurance approval so I can get my surgery date. I'm hoping it will be around the same time as yours!

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
