. . . when your good friend (who doesn't know about the band) gives you concerned, suspicious looks when you immediately walk away to the bathroom without speaking because something is stuck and you cant talk about it.

. . . when you go to the bank and some woman you don't think you have ever seen before in your life says "did you lose, like, a lot of weight?" and you look at her dumbfounded because you don't know what to say to a stranger about that topic and are just a little surprised.

My family always celebrates birthdays by everyone eating the birthday person's favorite food. When it got to my turn, I said they all have to go to out to dinner, order one meal, and split it between them all!

You know you are a bandster when you spend all of your free time on a website especially for the bandster and even time you really don't have and you think "OMG, did I really just spend four hours on there?" and you feel like a total weirdo and you post pics of yourself when you swore you never would do something like that on the internet and you post how much you weigh and how much you USED to weigh and post pics of yourself when you were HUGE and those are things you never would share in real life... ok Im done

when you're in the mall and looking for lunch so you go to the food court and get a sample of the honey or teriyaki chicken and the sample fills you up. It's the cheapest lunch in the mall since it's free.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
