Unfortunately it's different for everyone. I know that my pain lasted far longer than most of the people on LBT. I still have pain...although now it's 2 on a scale of 10 because of some nerve damage but am totally able to function. There was no way that I could have done any "Mommying" even 5 days after surgery. Is there anyone that can help you out?

I had pain for about a week and I had to take the same pain meds. It does get better. You should be feeling better in a few days.

It took me a solid week to be full-time mom all day every day again (I am a SAHM w/ a 2 yr old and 5 yr old). It was my 2 yr old that physically challenged me. My advice, be as lazy as can be, rest, let your house be dirty, feed them whatever is easiest for you. It was harder than I anticipated, mostly due to fatigue from lack of calories in my opinion. I was off the Rx painkillers in 3 days though and took tylanol. Good luck, it is hard

I agree that the fatigue from lack of calories is the worst. There's no way I could have gone back to work while I was still on Clear Liquids. I would have passed out on the floor from weakness!

I'm finally not nauseous anymore, but there is still a lot of pain, I'm glad that I can just focus on me, I have two little dogs that sleep with me and I feed and play with and walk them and such, but right now my dad and the rest of my family is taking care of them while I get my rest. Good luck everyone and congrats!

mamareid I know what you are saying it's a catch 22 you need the pain meds but between those and no calories you feel like you are walking around in a fog. My pain lasted a good week! I still 20 days later have discomfort but it's manageable. Now it feels like a muscle strain.

When I went to my surgeon 6 days after surgery crying from weekness he told me to add calories by having at least 1 fruit smoothie a day and I drank Kashie GoLean Protein Shake made with milk at the advice of another bandster and it made a world of difference, maybe I would have lost more than I have but at least I was living and not the walking dead!!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
