Advice On Diet

Recommended Posts

hi, ive lost 42lbs so far was banded on 4th june 03,

im happy with the rate of loss so far but was wondering if i could speed things up a bit,

ive noticed alot of people on here talking about protien and carbs etc,

i actually dont eat that much different to before i was banded, of course i dont eat much junk food nor do i have Snacks in between meals, but i eat normal meals just a lot less of it... but was interested to see if i ate more protien etc if it would make a difference to my loss, any advice would be appriciated!

I have insulin resistance (borderline diabetes) so I think the higher Protein, lower carb way of eating just makes me feel better and probably helps my blood sugar. I have heard people say it helps the weight loss, too. I guess you could always try it for a couple of weeks and see what happens.

You've lost 42 lbs in 3 1/2 months and you want to speed it up?

If I were you I'd keep doing exactly what I was doing and not change anything.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
