Anyone Cold In The Pm

Recommended Posts

I workout, and follow the band rules. I'm constantly cold at night. I live in vcr bc and its around 8 C

which is cold for this time of year. Could it be the weight loss, or not enough food. I eat about 1100 calories a day, but on the on the odd day only about 800. I'm trying for 1200 a day as I walk 16 kms a week, and work out with a trainer 2x week for an hour each time. Why am I so cold. I was always a hot person before. I am taking a hot bath tonight just to warm up.

thx

It's been 80 degrees for the last week. I'm really cold at night too. I think that it is a side effect of the band, but I am not certain. I too am taking baths and using my bed warmer tostay warm. That might be something to ask the doctor about too. I am going to ask mine when I go in for my next apt. on the 9th.

I'm always cold, too. What is your Iron level? I have low iron and it's been going down every year since I got my band (nearly 4 years now). I am even on iron supplements and I still can't get it to go up to a decent level. In fact, now my docs are all working on this issue. Anyway, being cold is a symptom of low iron. Just wondering if that could be an issue for you.

i live in FLA and I'm cold in the evening too.

i think you're right, may be fewer calories, etc...

if I look back at when I was heavier, I tended to be warm and sweat more frequently. so now i think my body is under a bit less pressure.

Anyone think it might be because you have less insulation(fat) to keep you warm?

Yep, count me in. I used to be hot all the time, too. I've taken to wearing socks to bed at night (ick). Otherwise I wake up every time I roll over and my feet touch a cold spot.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
