klily, ur 2 funny!!! I love it ...Shrinko De Mayos!!! Has anyone heard of Jus? Its supposed to be a super antioxidant drink, there are so many out there how do you compare? also have you decided on some protien drinks? I have no access up here in AK, so I don't want to buy anything unless it comes highly recommended, ya know what I mean? Also low cost is a bonus, ya know self pay and all... I heard the Choc whey Protein at Wal mart is good any feedback? Thanks all, its almost 12 days...and counting....Oh unhappy news I gained a couple pounds, but I am going to start exercising tomorrow!!! The nurse today said I would heal faster if I exercised before the surgery... All the best...

Hi JaJeane,

I bought the Whey chocolate from Walmart. And I like it alot. I mix it with 2% milk. Then I went on line at www.biaratriceating.com and they have all kinds of Protein you can order and ship out to you. My favorite is there Chocolate Peanut Butter. And I just got some artic chill frappacino. I am going to order some of there protein bullets for when I come home from the hospital.

Today is my third day of liquid protein. Around 3 my stomach was making alot of noise, so I had a cheese stick with some Decaf coffee, it actually held me over to my night time protein.

I see my surgeon tomorrow for my preop visit. I am so excited.

I'm also a "Shrinko Dey Mayo"!!! I'm getting nervous, excited, and uncertain all at the same time. It's like getting ready for my wedding. All the planning, researching, excitement, and now the big day is getting close. I'm going to be married to the band. WOW!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
