Nike+ Ipod sensor

Recommended Posts

No, I haven't...but I've been looking into it. One of my friends on my online journal has one and she has all of her stuff logged through their website. I think i'm going to start saving my money for it, even though I don't need a new pair of shoes just yet.

I purchased the ipod sensor (it's about 29.00 at Academy), you also need the ipod (not the very small one, but the nano, it needs to have a screen on it and if you do a search online you can actually purchase a little clip ($8.00) so that it attaches to your shoe laces (so you don't have to spend 100.00 on the Nike+ shoes). It works just as well! You can upload your runs and compete with others. I love it. Check out the link below for the clip I purchased.

Let me know how you like it.

I bought one when they first came out. Pretty motivational. I saw that they have a new wrist band so that you don't have to buy the Ipod.

It only works for running, or walking, meaning it doesn't work on the elliptical or on the stairmaster.

You can then attach the sensor to a computers USB port and upload all of your info to the Nike+ website so that you can track your progress.

For those of us that are numbers motivated it's an excellent, easy way to monitor your workouts.

Thanks for the info.

I have asked a few family members I didnt now had one.

the battery is not replaceable...and the sensor ran out on two of them within 6 months. The upside is a new sensor alone is less than $25.

All said the accuracy was off a bit but what pedometer isn't??

Thanks again.

Just got the sensor. Nike had a 20% sale on the website.

Got the least expensive sneaks I could see there, they are still "airs".

With the coupon they were $63.00.

I am having trouble calibrating the sensor though.

I'm usually good with gadgets.

I see some of you also use the BBugg and the Garmin. Which Garmin do you have and do you like it?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
