May 22nd!!!!

Recommended Posts

Hello to everyone. I got my date. It's May 22nd. I will start my 2 wk liquid diet on May 8th.

I was nervous about getting the green light from the surgeon because of other medical conditions(I have systemic Sarcoidosis and was just through treatment for Thyroid Cancer which spread to Lymph Nodes).

But all went well and I got my date. So excited!!!!:huh2:

Wish every1 good luck!!!

I'm the 22nd too!! I only have to do the liquid diet two days prior, but low fat/low carb two weeks before. However, it's pretty much all liquid for a month after. A girl here in my office is having the surgery as well (May 2) and she had her pre-op visit and nutrition class yesterday. I have been reading all the material they gave her and I'm really ready to go now!

Okay bandsters, only 27 days left until surgery. How is everyone holding up?!? I kind of feel like i'm in that last supper phase, although I haven't been eating TOO much, just craving the BAD food. I leave for Vegas on May 1st to Celebrate (early) my 30th birthday, so that will be my last party weekend so to speak. Come back on the 5th for the nutrition class, start liquid diet on the 8th. UGH! Hope you are all doing great!!

hi all: doing "OKAY" over here... im debating weather to hit up all the restaurants i won't be able to go to for w-h-i-l-e or just stick to my current diet plan(been strong so far).hmmm,:huh2: i've been really good about sticking to my plan; its been three weeks since i've been doing the two slim fast thing with sensible dinners (smart ones).

do have a BIG problem though...any one else finding it difficult to incorporate exercising into your schedules? i mean,i used to go every day, then since xmas i haven't gone and i'm finding it hard to go back into the routine!!!

Hi Kiki! It's good to see you around again -- hope you're feeling all better.

As far as the exercise, I would suggest not trying to jump right back into it.. start slow and pick out a couple of days or maybe 10-15 minutes a day and then build from there. I often find when I try to jump into a routine all the way and with everything, I often bite off more than I can chew (or want to chew, anyway). KWIM? :tt2: You can do it! :wink2:

I feel a little bit like a party crasher! I am having my surgery on May 22nd too!

Is anyone having their surgery in Los Angeles? I have my psychological visit tomorrow - yeah!

My doctor is only having me do three days of liquid diet before the big day!

Looking forward to it with excitement and a little bit of nervousness!

Hi Diane! Thanks for the welcome!

Had my psychological visit today and it went well! Yeah! I told her about this great site and she will be telling her future banders about it! So much information to learn and read about.

Next week is the nutritionist.

Is UA University of Alabama or University of Arizona?

:biggrin2:

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
