Thank you for coming back and letting us know how it's going. You sound so happy!! That's wonderful, and I'm so glad you found support here. :D :D

Now the trick is remembering this moment when you hit a plateau, because you will. When you get on solid food your weight loss will probably screech to a halt, and that's the time to resurrect this post and remember that it WILL start again after you've had a fill. Patience and fortitude, those are the twin banding principles. This is not a sprint, it's a journey and yours has just begun. ;)

Congratulations, get ready to see those pounds drop. Remember this is the slower WLS, so patience my dear, which is what I need right now too.

Oh YAY! I'm so relieved you are feeling better about things, congrats! Yep, this place is awesome. I have said before (and I'll say it again) I would not be going through this banding procedure were it not for the support I find her on LBT. So don't you ever go too far away...way to go!!!

Congratulations! So glad to hear that you're feeling more confident w/your band. That's sweet the way your parents are supporting you and trying to eat better too. They'll end up getting healthier along with you.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
