The more I have time to think about my choice of surgeon, the happier I am with who I chose. I just got an email from the person that first suggested her. She had her surgery on the 25th, and she seems SO happy right now. I have to admit, I'm jealous! She had her pain pump removed today, along with one of her drains, and she says her results are fantastic so far. The surgeon even sent her flowers!

I admit, I'm worrying about whether I'll really be able to afford this financially, but I KNOW I can't afford to NOT do it, emotionally/psychologically. God, I can't wait until I can schedule a surgery date!

Hi Lauren, my surgery is scheduled for 4/21. The PS said I am a perfect candidate for the Tummy Tuck. I was also excited that the thigh lift will not be cutting down the inner thigh but rather tucked at the top. I am now in a size 16 and I'm hoping to get in a 14 or 12. Wish me luck!

I might get my arms done eventually (they're starting to sag a bit), but my first order of business is the Tummy Tuck and a breast lift.

OH stupid me thought bl was short for bilateral (sp) whatever the tech name for the arm surgery is...

Well I am happy that you are getting the TT & BL (i could use both) - but right now - don't know if I want the pain of surgery again - my boobs were saggy even 80 lbs ago in fact I haven't changed cup size but they are deflated. I'm 53 so even with PS I'm not going to have the body of a 20 yrs old - time will tell - good luck - I am happy for you..

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
