Complete Body Cleansing Program

I just purchased a "Complete Body Cleansing Program" from GNC. I guess it is supposed to completely cleanse your body. I have heard that people feel great afterwards. My problem is that I didn't realize that there is also a 7 day diet that you are supposed to follow with it and it is horrible. I don't think many people at all could do it. It consists of things like rice milk. Has anyone done it, ate normally and felt a difference? Is it a total waste of money if you don't follow the diet? Thanks

I recently did a 21 day cleanse, that was recommended by my Doctor of Naturopathy. It involved eliminating dairy, eggs, wheat, shellfish, peanuts, soy, sugar, artificial sweeteners, processed foods, caffeine, chicken, pork and beef, tomatoes and corn.

The elimination diet is the most important part, the supplements that I was taking while on the cleanse served simply to provide the nutrients that I was not getting through the elimination of certain foods.

The idea was to detoxify the liver by eating foods that allowed the liver to "rest".

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
