Weekly Exercise Thread - 3/17/08

Recommended Posts

I thought I'd start the exercise thread for the week. I know I can use all the encouragement I can get and I need someone (everyone) to hold me accountable or I just never get around to it.

Here are my exercise goals for this week:

Monday - walk 30 minutes (did this during lunch today)

Tuesday - use eliptical for 30 minutes

Wednesday - walk 30 minutes

Thursday - eliptical for 30 minutes

Friday - I have to work at my 2nd job so I'll be standing for 6 hours or so.

Saturday - rest from night before

Sunday - walk for 30 minutes

I hope to increase the amount of time I walk or the distance each week. Right now I can walk about 1 mile in 20 minutes.

Good luck to everyone!

I have been SUCKING. Well, not literally, that'd be more exercise than I've been getting. LOL

I've been working on redoing our kitchen floor. Which involves removing the old floor, removing wallpaper (I tend to get carried away), painting, etc. No time for ANYTHING.

But I'm going to get on the ball. I'm going to make it my goal to run a marathon the first half of next year. Considering I can't even walk for 30 minutes without wishing i was dead, this will be no easy feat.

So, Couch to 5k, here I come!

Hi all, sorry i didn't start the thread this week. had a rough start. I did manage to take an hour walk on saturday with the babies, and we repainted their room. I did most of the painting, and up and down the ladder. I was so sore yesterday. I have to get my butt in gear and start the exercise, I want the weather to get warm already.

Hey PatticNJ hope you don't mind that I started the thread. I need to do everything that I can to get and stay motivated. I hope that by putting what I plan to do in writing for everyone on here to see that I'll stick to it.

I have to update my plan for the week. I have softball game Thursday night, the first one since my surgery. Here's hoping I don't pull something or get hit in the stomach.

I started back exercising last week with all the best of intentions of continuing this week, but I have been sabotaged by sick kids! I had to come home early Monday and was home yesterday, too. Today, it rained (I've been walking for exercise). Maybe Thursday, Friday and Saturday will be my days for this week!

30 Mins Calisthenics.

This is my current weekly routine at the present. If I notice my body starts to plateau with this routine, I will shake it up a bit. I am actually thinking about buying an Ellipti-kill. I'll think about it.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
