2nd Fill Question

Recommended Posts

I had my first fill Feb. 21 and she put in 3.4 ccs (10CC band). I have been okay not alot of change. Anyway my weight has kinda stalled from a pound aday to the same everday.

When can you get a second fill? I am always hungry....

When can I expect the "sweet spot"?

Okay one more I am still learning about the signs when eating.... so I slime about once a day on average. YUK! I really need to pay better attention to my body! Any suggestions.

My suggestion is to do what you say - pay attention to your body when you're eating. It takes a lot of us a while to learn by trial and error.

As for the second fill, mine was 3 weeks after my first. There aren't really many "rules" about how to progress your fills unless your surgeon has guidelines or you're experiencing restriction.

I had my first fill on Feb 20 and really felt no restriction and that was with 4cc in a 10cc capacity. I was hungry all the time and very discouraged, I called my doc and went in this past Tuesday, Mar 4th for 2nd fill of 1 more cc for a total of 5cc, BIG difference, I obviously was on liquids for 2 days, but tried eating last night and this morning, few bites, felt stuffed, actually had my first PB this morning. Not hungry at all!!!!

My first fill was 6 cc / 9 cc band. My weight maintained until the second fill on Monday. I asked my surgeon to be aggressive with it as the stall in weight loss had caused me to become quite depressed. I am now at 7.5 cc and I can truly eat only a half teacup. I have lost almost 10 lbs since Monday, for a total of 26.

I would say don't be afraid to stand up for yourself. Hang around the office for an hour or so to see if it goes well, just in case you are too tight. I would rather have to have an unfill vs. waiting another month to finally start losing weight.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
