so what type of expenses were included in the $6845

Mostly dental, chiropractics, massage, medical premiums that I pay at work. I keep every receipt that is medical related and claim it. here's a link to the CCRA site to help you determine what is allowed:

Which medical expenses are eligible?

Hi I have just been banded in winnipeg!

I'm very excited I had to pay 17,500 .

Then I was looking at a linq that said manitoba covers it ?

I was soposto go to red deer in april for bypass ,but changed my mind and had it here to be close to my doctor and family.

Does anyone know how can I get reimbursed for this if it is true it is covered. I went in debt for a few years for this and if there is any hope of getting my money back our dream of a better home....

I am researching getting banded and am looking at going to Maples. Is that where you went? If it was, can you tell me abou tit? Thier professionailsm, service ect.

Its been awhile since I've been in this site.

To answer the question, they're great at maples.I really like the doctors and the dietitian is nice. Jen is great at the clinic she answers all or gets your questions answered.

After the surgery you have the doctors pager numbers if you need them,Jen is available most times. I've even e-mailed with the doctors a couple of times when I had some issues. Over all its been great I didn't start loosing weight as soon as I had hoped, but I have started now so I feel better.I had my surgery in feb. Its been 3or4 fiills now and I'm going for another next week.

I really hope that a group starts soon because I'm not that good on the computer and don't get to much time for it either.

Anyways I guess thats about it,best of luck in your decision!

Lap-Band Reimbursement Assistance Program

3450 Harvester Road

Burlington, ON L7N 3M7

the angle that they take and you have to check your coverage is that it is a doctor approved medicaly implanted device great west life declined me orriginaly and we are in the appeals stage

i was warned that it would probably be denied as the 1st level ajudicators seem to decline them right away failing that i would suggest a lawsuit

insurance companys hate bad publicity

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
