Day 2 Hungry, but still firm that I must do it. The Cappuccino bars make me cough, anyone else noticed this?

On my sheet it says Miso Soup is that just the normal miso or is there some fat free Optifast kind lurking somewhere.

I have the chocolate mousse but have not had it yet. I tried the chicken Soup with steamed broccoli and mushrooms last night I forced my way through it but the texture after I mushed the vegies made it slimy and frothy, Im going to have salad tonight and might try the mousse. Even though its hard I cant believe that I have lost almost 4kg already. I keep checking my scales and yes its right.

I have found the most wonderful thing. A childrens cup that is filled with Water and you put it in the freezer and then your drink turns icy. Any little thing that makes Optifast a little better is so exciting to me.

I am in a hard phase today I feel weak, shaky and lethargic I have decided I am having salad tonight I need to eat!! My skin is also so dry. Not giving up but, NO NO NO you will not beat me evil hunger

Are you having enough Water? ? You should be drinking 2 litres of water on top of the Optifast. Don't forget you can also fill up on the diet jelly etc.

I've been really hungry the past 2 days and I drink a tonne of Water. At least 4L a day.

Must be something in the air - I caved in last night and had some veges and again tonight.

But I'm loving the Optifast chocolate bars. Love, love, love them.

You are very helpful Sewenup thankyou. I think I am drinking enough Water I have a 500ml bottle and I sip from it all day and fill it quite often. I am going to make jelly tomorrow I want to try and make things as varied as is possible by having a new thing every day. I had the pudding tonight along with a teeny salad and I feel fairly full now although the old me would still be chowing down. I think I have to learn the difference between satisfied and totally stuffed. What a lot of relearning I have to do.

Not me.

My Dr said only 3 opti meals a day.

Nothing else unless I'm starving then I can have some veges but only if I really really need to.

I've been surviving ok on just the 3 opti meals a day except the past 2 days I've been really hungry.

Each Dr has a different requirement, some only make you do 2 meals a day, others don't let you have anything but Opti. Always go by what your Dr says. Usually if they don't give any instructions to the contrary, you just have what the leaflet that comes with your Opti says for the intense faze.

If you aren't sure please ring your Dr - you don't want to risk your chance at surgery.

I had to do 4 weeks on Opti so I really feel for others who are at that stage, but it is really worth it, and remember that any weight you lose now will be permanent - after the surgery it WON'T come back.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
