Realize Band

Recommended Posts

Wanted to know I any one has the Realize Band. After Surgery I was told what band I had. I got home and looked at the info about the band. It has a awesome support web page. Very interactive. I lets you personalize your goals and your weight loss and also a nutritional tracker. I think it will all be great.

I have the Realize band too, for 6 days now, but I havent been able to sign into the website. I don't have the "right number" to put in, it needs like a 12 digit number. I'll try t o get it when I go to my post op appt tomorrow.

I'm going to be banded on the 26th with the realize band and am so pumped. When I went to the preop nutrition classes they handed out packages from realize about the realizemysuccess with our dr's id # so I just logged in for the first time and it's awesome. My dr's bariatric coordinator actually went to NY for classes on how to use realizemysuccess, the other cool thing is the dr's office can see your progress and will get alerts if you have logged in without tracking a weight loss. it allows them to be able to track your progress and know more about how to help you if you need it. i can't wait to get my patient id though so i can access all features!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
