Thanks again, I on the other hand continue to gain wt and am so very discouraged. I am up from 197 to 216 in only 2 weeks and I thought I was eating all the right things the past week. well, mostly anyway. so I hope the next fill will help, but just knowing I have to lose 19 lbs just to get to were I was is very upsetting.

Rain I know how you feel cause I too weigh myself multiple times a day and night, Its like a compulsion and I too have given up the scale. hopefully we will get back on cause I feel like the band is not helping me anymore and it scares me....

a lot of places have lite, or smaller portion menus. fridays applebees, red robins has an awsome low carb turkey burger.

Shar,

I am just sending in my paperwork, so as of now I dont have a consult date yet, but I will keep you all posted:smile: I really hope this goes quickly. Do you have to go to a seminar before the consult with Dr Hoffman? The paperwork says they will call or send a letter telling me when the next seminar is, how long did this take everyone to get?

Hi everyone, I am hearing some discouragment on this site. Hang in there! I am sure I put on a few pounds but am not going to weigh myself. My clothes still fit so....

My question is does anyone have chest pain after they eat? I feel so tight in the chest and wheezy right now and all I had was celery with Peanut Butter (Val I can't wait for the new PB! I eat too much of the regular stuff). It was my Breakfast - hey pb is Protein right? :P

Everytime I mention it to Barb she says to check with my PCP and I did and he did an EKG and got my acid reflux under control. When I over eat I have pain in my side right above my incision. I know we are all different I just wondered if anyone else had pain there.

I see Dr. Hoffman on the 15th at 10:30.

Thanks Rain, I guess we hurt where it is suseptable.

Linda, I also get pain if I eat too much or drink, The pain is in my left shoulder and near my port and Barb told me that when the stomach is full it can pull on the stitches that keep the port in place, which are permanent. I also get pain in the sternum or middle chest if something is stuck, which doesn't happen very often anymore....

anyone have an appt on tues around 1:00?

i dont really know...i have 4cc in my band...im kind of afraid to get a fill...so since im losing about 0.5 lbs per week dr hoffman wants to leave me where i am. barb told me she would never give me more than a 0.2cc fill because im very sensitive...so i dont know maybe it is my sweet spot. i have only gotten 2 fills and they took most of my 2nd one out...lol so only 1.5 fills

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
