Anyone start out around 275?

Recommended Posts

And is now down between 140-160?

I'm 5'5 now and weigh 275 but my ideal weight would be in the above range. Heck, right now though I'll take just seeing 199 again.

In high school when I was about 5'3 I got down to 146 and fit (with a struggle) into my friends size 9 junior jeans. So I'm thinking with my boobs being bigger now, and me being a tad bit taller, then that would be a perfect weight for me.

I haven't gotten the band yet but hopefully will be on my way in a few months and hope the above range is realistic.

Thanks for any comments!

I believe it is within reach. I'm 5'9" and 277. I think to officially be a BMI of 25 I need to weigh 169. I'd be thrilled in the 185-190 range. I'm not looking to be skinny. I just REALLY want to be healthy and have more energy. I do not want my one year old to remember me as a fat mommy. I hope to be banded late March.

I started out at 286 and now I'm 196... I know that I'm going to be able to lose about 30 more pounds at least... I know it's possible. I've lost 90 pounds so far.... my doctor said I could get down to about 150... I'm 5'8. You can do it... I had the surgery in May... it's possible! Go for it! Make it happen!

I started at 5'6" 261 lbs and am now at 183 and still losing. I am officially no longer obese, just overweight. My initial "goal" weight is 160 which is still considered overweight I think?

Hi! I started at 270 and I am 5' 5". I lost 15.5 lbs. pre-op and was just banded 2 days ago. First Dr visit is on Tues! It was so great to see all the people who responded to you who are in my weight range and have gotten below 200 which is my first goal! I will let u know how much I lost during the clear liquid phase. I'll check back later!

I started at 287 (5'11'') and made it to 260 during the pre-op diet. I had surgery on February 7, and am currently at 254. I'd love to see my wedding weight of 175 again, but my doctor and I are hoping for anything that begins with the number 1. I hear that's referred to as ONEderland around here - very cute.

I am right about where you are...just a little taller but I am hoping to get the okay from my insurance any day - I hope I hope I hope. I am so worried that they will deny me when I really need this surgery. Have you had your surgery yet?

I had surgery March 15, 2007. I started at 287.7 and am now 207 ... 80lbs gone in 11mths...

Absolutely thrilled my surgeon would like to see me at least at 165... I would like 145lbs.. and i think it is entirely possible.. as long as you follow the rules .. there are people on this board who have lost tons of weight.. i've seen member whom lost 200+ pounds..

I would love to hit 165 by july... so i'm kicking my butt (with the help of a personal trainer) at the gym...

I am 5'4"ish and my starting weight was 262. I am currently 180 and wearing 12/14 size. I hope to get to 145-150 and be in a size 8/10. I have never been "thin" so I don't know what I will look like at these sizes but I can't wait to find out.

I started at 287 and am now 242 and I am going strong.....I know that I will make my goal, and my Surgeon agrees because he said my attitude and lifestyle changes I have made leads only to success!!

Be sure to get in all of your Water, move your bloomin behind, and follow the diet........make good choices whenever possible and let yourself have something you love once is a while, but only a bite!

I live by these rules and am having great success!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
