No second fill for me today

Recommended Posts

:sad:Well I'm still "maintaining" with my 1.5cc in my 10cc band . . . because I lost 10 lbs during the last month and he likes that pace. I'm definitely getting a fill on March 13 though. He also wants me to eat more solid foods . . . fish, turkey, chicken . . . so that is my "assignment" for this month . . . he is still hung up on counting bites before I'm full . . . ughhhhh Ok . . . if that is what he wants - I shall comply.

You have a GREAT memory . . . yup . . . he denied me on my first time in also. I have to go in monthly whether I get a fill or not . . . so far I don't have to pay for the visits at least. I'm happy with how I'm losing, so I'll not complain . . . I think everyone just wishes it would be faster  You're doing a great job too! Way to go!

OK . . . you have an EXCELLENT memory and have been lurking a lot .. . and not posting! Welcome back . . . and I sure hope to be down another 20 lbs by then . . . (I'd like to say more, but I'm TRYING to be a little realistic). I'll go shopping the beginning of May . . . that should be safe I hope

I have my first fill on March 13th. That is the soonest the DR. could see me. Apparently everyone wants a fill in Boston!! I had my surgery on Dec 11th and because it was aroung XMAS they decided to push back my two week follow up till Jan 11th. It was really frustrating. The dr was impressed that I lost 15 pounds in that first month and I was a little afraid of getting a fill so I asked if it would be ok not to get one. She was fine and said it was up to me. I have lost more weight, my only problem is that I still drink when i eat. I am still afraid of a fill but now i want one, just to get over my fear I guess. I like how in touch your dr. has been.

I was beginning to feel/think that I was the only Merry Loser that had not had a fill yet. I was banded 12/17 and am scheduled for my first fill on 2/27. I'm kinda nervous and scared about what to expect, but it's gotta be done.

I was banded on 12/19 and so far have lost 22 pounds. I am okay with with loss. The doctor told me at my follow up visit that with this new Allergan band many people are making it 4 mos. before they need a fill. I hope I am one of them. I have an appointment this Monday the 25th but don't think I need a fill yet.

JE:rolleyes:

ladies you are all doing great, I have not had a fill yet and have my 2 month f/u on Wednesday. I am still undecided. Again I enjoy this new feeling of eating what I want, but in smaller amounts. ( its a trip!) I drink Water with my meals and yes occasionally eat something I know I shouldn't. but all in all I am quite satisfied with the whole process.

The thought of the Doc. inserting a needle in me is frighting to me and I know I will have to face the music at one point, but until then I will continue to enjoy the ride.

am I fooling myself?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
