How many days in the hospital

Recommended Posts

Can you all tell me how long you had to stay in the hospital?

And by the way, my surgery date got rescheduled from March16 to the 30th. I'm not very happy today :);):)

Tanya, most people stay in the hospital one night, if that. I was in and out the same day.

Don't worry about the rescheduling. March has begun and the end will come sooner than you think!! (On March 30 my brother will be turning 45, so it will be coming very quickly for him. :) )

I stayed overnight, but was happy to do so. I figured I might just as well be there in a bed that I could raise/lower, and people fussing over me! lol

I stayed overnight. Left the next day around 3 because I had a little trouble peeing. Then when everything was flowing again I went home.

I wouldn't have liked to come out same day. My Doc does two nights and I was glad of them although more than able to come home on morning of day two, less than 48 hour post op.

I stayed one night. I'm sorry your date got moved, but it's just a little bump in the road. You'll get your band.

Tanya I am so sorry your band date got changed! Whata bummer. It will get here before ya know it. Keep that chin up girl. you will get that band.

My Dr. said he will only keep me a few hours after surgery. Of course unless there are complications. He said I would go it at 5:30 am and my surgery will start at 7:30 am I should be home by that same afternnoon.I would much rather recover at home.

Sorry about your date being rescheduled. It's hard when you've been anticipating something and then find it moved farther away.

I stayed zero nights in the hospital. I dont' like hospitals, I had no pain and I begged to go home the same day. I was glad it worked out like that.

I had my surgery and left the hospital within about 4 hours or waking up. Maybe less, I can't exactly remember it was over a year and a half ago. I woke up, they gave me juice. Took my vitals, made me do a couple laps around the recovery room and sent me home.

My DH spent a couple of nights in hospital, but he is a special case. They are keeping me overnight, but I'm a special case too. Most of the folks that use my DR are home that same day.

I stayed three nights.

I was only surpose to stay ONE!

I had complications with my band being swollen and I had to be on a lot of antinflamitories...

The day I left I had drank some sips of grape juice and puked it all up...

BUT MY Plane left that day and I HAD TO GO HOME!!

So I just got up and said "I gotta go" "I will be fine, I know what to do"

I didnt have the money to waste on changing my flight.

They said my band was tight, but it only meant I would loose more weight and have to be more carefull..

I had a hard time at home for a few more days but nOW I am Just great!

I am on day 16, and I drink tomatoe Soup everyday and popcycles and my favorite thing in the world grape juice.< /p>

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
