Well group I had my surgery this past Monday. I was scheduled for 9:30 a.m. but they had a cancellation and took me in at 7:30 a.m. I was in surgery 1 1/2 hours and in recovery 1 hour. So far I haven't gotten sick to my stomach but I have been fighting one hell of a headache :cursing:since Tuesday morning. I got home around 2 p.m. yesterday and felt miserable all day and night with this headache. They gave me liquid Lorri Tab but that didn't help at all. I finally had to have my husband crush one of my Darvicets and I mixed it with some yogert and that finally helped. However I am starting to feel it coming back. Has anyone else had this horriable headache besides me? If so, please help me and tell me what you did to get rid of them. In the meantime, I am not doing too bad.:wink2:

Make sure you aren't dehydrated, that will cause a headache. Also it could be a caffeine headache if you are addicted to caffiene and haven't had any/enough.

I had a headache after surgery too. Not terrible, but enough to make it hard to sleep. The nurses were very forthcoming with the pain meds, and the Lorri Tab helped, but I had to keep taking it all day and night.

Totally off subject, but oh well. I was just giggling Blund because of your location (near the pinky), my fiance is from near Detroit and he does the hand thing all the time:lol::rolleyes:

I was banded May 19 and stayed one night. I think it's good because they can give you pain and anti-nausea meds. I also had those leg thingys on that periodically squeeze your legs to keep the circulation going.

The only thing to complain about is once they told me I'd be discharged, I got dressed and sat in a chair for over an hour. I hadn't had any pain meds that morning and was really starting to hurt. My sister finally went to the nursing station and asked about my discharge. My nurse was working on the computer and said, "I've got the paperwork right here" and she got some paperwork from the end of the table. It was obvious she was working on something else and forgot about me. When she came in, I had to ask for a pain pill so I'd be okay for the ride home. Then the person who was getting the wheelchair disappeared for 15 minutes, so all in all it took well over two hours to get out of there once I was dressed. That was frustrating, but it's over now.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
