I am scheduled to be banded on 2-4-08, I received a telephone call from my surgeon, and they got my results from EKG on Tuesday. According to the doctor, I had a slight abnormal EKG, so they want me to follow-up with a specialist. My question has this happened to anyone else on this site.

yes! I had an abnormal EKG and had to get a pet scan. I now know I have a "normal" abnormality. LOL!

I was a little freaked out, thinking not only that I might have something wrong with my heart, but that it would delay my surgery. I had to wait several days to get the test and then several more for the results only to find out I was fine.

Good News is that it was a relief to know I had a thorough exam of my heart and when surgery was over and I had all that chest pain from the gas, I wasn't worried that I was having a heart attack!

Also, you wouldn't really want to risk surgery if there was something wrong with your heart.
