a little off track this weekend but willing to start over now

Recommended Posts

i had few sweets this weekend like a piece of cake from my nieces birthday party and a handful of m+ms that i had at work on friday. i was doing well especially since one week ago when i had my first fill and now that one week has past ive slipped. im trying not to be to hard on myself because as long as i get back on track thats whats important. i just hate slipping period. does this happen to any of you? is it practical for me to stick to everything perfectly? i do well when i put my mind to it but sometimes i go back to my old habits and cheat because i always ate bad everyday before surgery. now i may have a slip up once in a while which is better i have to say than everyday. i just dont know what is ok. i know that once you slip it can be a set up for failure so i am aware of that. i guess thats why i am on here so i can get support right. i write on here during my good times and bad. i will exercise extra tonight and try harder this week.

GIRLLLLLL .. you're doing fine !!

I don't consider those "slips" .. I consider them "living".

Look at it this way .. "skinny" folks eat cake, M&M's, McDonalds, etc - they just do it in moderation.

This band is for LIFE ... do you really expect to not have a slice of birthday cake EVER again ? I think that's a bit unrealistic and almost like you're setting yourself up.

Having a slice of birthday cake at a birthday party = living.

Having an entire cake while sitting on your couch = slipping.

I haven't been doing as well as I need to either, and I think I have been far worse than you. I have been tracking calories up until this weekend, and I am doing around 1500-1600 calories a day, with to much coming from liquid forms of Protein which is why I think I feel hungry.

This weekend I took our Sr. Youth Group to a weekend retreat and a weekend away from my structure with a bunch of garbage eating teenagers was not good for me. I am going to bust my butt this week, and I think I am going to try to stay away from the scale this week. Maybe next weekend the scale will have a big surprise for me.

So the goal for this week, walk 30 minutes each day, work out twice, eat no more than 1200 calories a day, and try to get more "real" food in me versus Liquid Protein.

Wish me luck...

I too, had a tough few days...an out of town trip with Girl Scouts, to where we were not allowed to bring outside food or drink, pizza, pop - none of that for me, Water only. Then doughnuts for Breakfast, a stop at a fast food place was too much for me too. Oh well, I know I will do better now that I am back on my regular schedule.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
