Calories, Protein and Fat daily

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow bandsters, I wanted to know what everyone else is doing when counting intake daily of Calories, Protein and Fat. I joined DailyPlate.com and it says in order for me to lose 5lbs a week I need to east 1458 calories at my weight as of now. Hmm the doctors twig LOL nutritionist has a basic calorie intake for everyone of 800-1000 calories a day. I range from 950 - 1300 Protein 72-90g and Fat 26-42g. Can I ask what everyone else is doing and what in your experience has been the best? Just wondering if this is a normal range for Calories, protein and fat intake a day. I know I'm dropping fat like crazy since I have clothes already falling off me. I don't weight myself until the 17th two week time frames. Just better for me that way. Please help!!

I still drink my shake. I have it everyday for Breakfast to start the day. 1 cup Skim milk mixed with a large scoop of Unjuy Protein Powder (28-30 protein). I then have a snack about 9:30 - 10:00 banana, hummus with a couple of small pretzels, or nuts. Nothing high in calories about 100-120. I think the shake for me in very helpful to get all my Protein in and keep me snacking. How are you doing so far??? How much lost since surgery?? Cynthia

I follow weight watchers and eat 1k a day with a 200 calorie increase if I wish daily. So that puts me at 1200 with my wine :-} I am losing at least 2 lbs a week now that I finally got it down. WW actually had me eating 1800 and I wasn't losing. So good for you if you can lose at 1500! And yes, bandsters typically eat 800-1k.

Hi livelaughlove, thanks for the reply. I have lost 48 pounds since surgery. I drink Body Fortress whey Protein Shakes. My surgery was june 27, 2007. I need to start drinking my shakes again.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
