I just got back from my 2nd post op appointment and got my drains out. What a relief. It didn't hurt at all, but felt very strange. I got a little twinge up near my ribs. Its hard to believe the tubes went from my thighs up to near my ribs. The Dr said one mor eweek in the binder. Normally she wants 3 weeks, which would be Monday, but she wants me to wear it one week post drains to makes sure everything comes together and no pockets form to collect Fluid. I can handle one more week icon_smile.gif

I am glad to hear you are doing well Neal . . . I am hoping to get my second drain out tomorrow. Dr. Heller removed the first one this past Tuesday and that was the wierdest feeling! I had totally prepared myself for it to hurt like crazy, so I was shocked that there was no pain - just that wierd sensation.

I have no doubt over-done it this week, but I am bored out of my mind! My lower back is killing me, but other than that - I have zero pain.

Lynne: Glad to hear the zero pain part!

LJM: You are in my thoughts and prayers!

Neal: Do men wear the compression garment or just the binder and then there through?

My Dr said I was done a week after my drains came out. I did go buy some Under Armour athletic compression shirts and shorts to wear afterwards. I think I need it to feel more comfortable

I have a question - I have started experiencing 'heartburn' in the last few days . . . Not like reflux where something comes up, just a burning in my chest, particularly when I lay down. I have never felt this before. Any ideas? Has anyone else had a similar experience since their surgery?

Thanks friends,

Nina: You're a cutie! You're stomach is nice and flat, even with the swelling. I don't see a lot of bruises from the Lipo. How is that going? So glad you're home and all is well. You must still love your PS to be thinking about another surgery. You just look wonderful, can't wait to hear all the gory details!

Mommi-hammi: I would call the doc about your chest pain, it probably is heart burn, but you could also have a clot in your lung. You need to call your doc! Let us know how you're doing!

Do you guys think it is too soon to be worried about the way the incision looks???

Mine is higher than I expected (it's going to be harder to cover in a swimsuit than I thought) and the left side of it looks like it has a 'roll' in it . . .

I don't want to start worrying about it already, but after taking a close look I'm a little freaked out.

Oh CRAP! I hadn't even thought of that . . . But really, it only happens after I eat or drink and I am feeling alot of restriction right now . . .

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
