>> I am through with tight, uncomfortable jeans--reminds me of when I was forever outgrowing all my clothes.

>> I will not use the handicapped stall in public restrooms just because there's more "elbow" room. I don't have fat elbows.

Unfortunately, my New Year's Resolution is to lose weight. (90 more lbs of F-A-T) In 2009 this will NOT be on my list!! WooHoo! I will be like Wasa. I want to go to Church more, spend more time with my husband, eat less and exercise more and get all A's and no B's (yea right lol) I hope everyone is successful!!! ;)

I am not banded yet and going thru the process. This year, I will give up soda. I figure it is not a good thing to have when I am banded, so no need for it now. I currently drink about 6cans a day, sometimes more or less. It sure won't hurt giving it up now. I can only imagine how hard it will be. I think it is the carbonation that has me addicited, not the caffeine. I will still have my coffee in the morning. Have a wonderful holiday!

I want to lose the rest of my weight. I don't remember who said this above but I totally agree, this will not be on next year's list.....for the first time in my life! I am so excited to see what this year brings. My one wish for this year is for confidence to consume my being! lol

Mine is going to be getting my house in order to sell.

School, weight loss, being a momma, being a sweetie, being a good daughter/sister is all covered.

I feel like I'm honing myself, not making giant changes.

Unfortunately, once again my NYR is to lose weight. I thought last year would be the last time, but I had so many problems with my band last year that it just didn't happen. But, things seem to be going fine now, so this year's resolution will be to take the remaining weight off.

I am so excited that I am going to start the year off banded!! It is going to be the best beginning of a new year in a long time. In 2008 I am going to work on losing at least 80 lbs, selling my book, and being a better mom and wife.

I'm with the some of the above. I am determined this is going to be my last Weight related New Year's resolution. But alas, my resolution is to finally start some serious exercise as opposed to walking around a mall once or twice a week and calling it exercise. And to lose whatever remaining weight I decide I need to lose. Sorry about being so vague on the second one but I just don't know how I will know what my goal weight will be until I'm finally there. Right now it feels like around 15-20 pounds but I just don't know.

My NYR will be to simplify my life, mainly my surroundings. Stop stock piling, clean closets, drawers, garage...go through everything and throw that crap away!!

Travel more, worry less, enjoy the second half of my life. Looking forward to new memories!

You know that was one I had last year, to unclutter my world.

I picked an area a month. Like kitchen cabinets, basement shelves, closets....

It worked like a charm for the first 6 months, I need to put that back on my list!

Mine is to get banded and sort out my health issues. After 15 years I've finally been diagnosed with PCOS and found a gyno prepared to help me - yes it has taken 15 years to find a Dr who is listening to me. Next is to be checked for endo.

My Mother was diagnosed as diabetic 2 days ago and I'm not going through that. So roll on 2008 so I can get banded.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
