A List of Goals

Recommended Posts

I figured I would start a list of goals. I've heard that if goals are spoken aloud and/or written down, the chance of attaining them increases. So, I figured that I would give it a shot. Please share yours as well!

Goal: To reach "onederland" by April 6th. Very steep goal (70 lbs. to go), but I'm determined to do it. My sister-in-law is getting married later that month and I want to be able to wear anything that I want! As of right now, I have my eye on a really cute, pale-yellow tea-length number by Jim Hjelm:

hi Trixie, i believe its true to if you say it visualise it and write it down then there's more chance it will happen. I know a bloke who goes out in the middle of a field and shouts to the cosmos, he swears by it. Yellow sounds dreamy.

I will be 180 lbs. by my b'day on Jan 18th. I will exercise 3x a week 1 hour each in January. By June 2008 I will be at meerly "overweight" at 150 lbs.

Not only goals but affirmations.

I'd love to be at ONEderland by the time we go to DisneyWorld 4/5. Basically that's 10 lbs per month. At this point, I don't know what's realistic, KWIM? I don't want to set a goal that is so far out that that I can't even get close, and then I get all discouraged about it. It sure would be awesome to be able to ride what I want and not worry about fitting into the seats though!

Also, as soon as I'm cleared, I'd like to drag my lazy butt to Curves 3-4 times per week. I need to pull my rebounder out too; that may be a little bit longer though, the very idea of bouncing has my insides all quivery.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
