Unflavored protein powder

Recommended Posts

I tried unflavored Protein Powder in the hospital. Made my broth taste and smell like dog food. Lord forgive me. Lol I just couldn’t. It was the nestle brand. Beneprotein. Any suggestions for a better unflavored Protein?

I buy this in bulk at Walmart but you can buy a smaller amount to try. I never have mixed it in with food. Doesn't sound appealing to me.

I enjoy it because I can vary the flavors of my drinks and never get bored with it. I'm in food phase now but I still drink one every day to help ensure I get my Protein in for the day.

I mix it with Peanut Butter powder, cocoa, stevia or various crystal light packets, SF flavored yogurts, skim milk and ice.

There is an unflavored Protein Powder that I found after following a Keto influencer on Instagram. She has her own brand of keto-friendly Protein and electrolytes found here. https://myadventuretofit.com/products/wheyproteinunflavoredunsweetened

I didn’t taste anything weird when I had it in my broth.

Ok great. Thanks for the suggestion

I used Isopure unflavored Protein Powder. Found it on Amazon and Target. I don’t notice a smell or taste at all.

Congrats on your surgery & Good luck on finding what works best for you! 🤗

I have this one at home and haven't been able to make good use of it. It reminds too much of infant formula. Early on I tried to put in apple sauce and couldn't handle it. I then used it to make a Protein coffee and it was just rough. I'll likely try to bake with it in some way and see how that goes just so I'm not being wasteful.

LMAO. Oh I understand not wanting to consume something that doesn't taste good. I try to rehome the things that don't work for me, lol. I had bought a bunch of those Crystal Light packets and squeezies and the Starburst stuff since I heard a lot of people have trouble with just plain Water. I can't stand the fake sugar taste of them and just could not drink them at all. I gave the whole collection to my cousin who enjoys them. The only one that taste good to me is the True Lemon ones. Thankfully plain ole water is still my best friend.

I've wasted money on funky Protein water (Recovery water was no bueno to me), calcium chews in dessert flavors are not tasty to me (fruity girl all the way), too many chewable vitamins, not great ready made shakes etc etc. So I understand completely.

I will continue to pray for all our wallets, lol.

It is very expensive! Be careful purchasing it on Amazon some of those companies do not allow you to return. I learned the hard way or course. Try to find like sample size stuff to try in regular stores first. That’s helps you save too. Thank goodness.

Amen friend! Lol Once the protein2o started to taste a lil funny to me I started to add half a crystal light pack to it and pour it over ice to get it down. Other days I can drink it regular. Protein2o also has one with electrolytes in it and one without but I purchased the regular one from Amazon first. My next one will be the one with electrolytes in it to try it out. I was adding my zero sugar Vitamin water to it for a lil bit and that also helps with the extra Vitamins and electrolytes that our body needs. Mixing stuff helps me reach my hydration goal all day.

I like the Protein Shots from the Bariatric Pal Store. It has been the only Protein supplement I can tolerate. And if you do get them, mix with 4 oz of Water and ice. They do tend to be a bit tart.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
