I am aware that it is normal and its the loss of fat but dang.

i have tried an egg crate cushion, a donut butt coyx or however its spelled cushion. Ive tried them on top of each both ways.

The only smallest relief I get is if I set at an angle, on my hip, with my ankle under me to keep me tilted. But this puts my foot/leg to sleep.

I have similar pain in my husbands truck, or sitting in my car longer than 3 hrs.

I can't change my office chair bc work requires all of our chairs to look identical.

HELPPPP.

Strength training can help, but it does take time. Getting up and moving frequently, lots of adjusting/squirming in between. I found a chair pillow on Amazon, I think its called Everlasting Comfort, and it does a pretty decent job. As for your office chair, can you request an ADA accommodation? Seems like a different chair would be a pretty simple, easy accommodation for them to make.

The everlasting comfort looks identical to the one I ordered.

They denied it saying that it wasnt a medical need, it was a pleasure comfort item

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry! That's really frustrating! I will say, time also helps. Once I had been in maintenance for a bit, I think my body sort of "settled" and I wasn't quite so uncomfortable, though I definitely still can't sit for very long periods of time.

Since my surgery, the only things I've sat on are soft . I took my dog to the vet and they have wooden benches to sit on. I sat down, wondered "what am I sitting on?" Got up - I moved to a different bench. "What the heck? It's on this bench ,too" . Then I finally realized " That's my BONES I'm sitting on !!!!! LOL 😲

I understand them not wanting to change your CHAIR, but the cushion that the other poster mentioned is not attached in any way, is it a situation where you could purchase your own chair pad and just bring it to work with you? My workplace can be a bit draconian about that sort of thing but they've never said anything about the cushion because I brought it in myself.

BBL surgical cushion. It’s been firm and is positioned mainly under the upper thigh when seated to take pressure off of the Glutes.

I have a chair pad, the same kind mentioned above + an egg crate chair pad. but even with using them singularly or together, it doesnt help. I can't sit longer than an hour

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
