I had recently bought slim fast and I didn't know Amazon has all the stuff I need before my wieghtloss surgery. Slim fast isn't something that helps so I gave them to my sister.on Amazon I found the Protein 2 o waters because my adopted sister is going through the same kind of thing only I think hers is the sleeve. I am so excited to be going through this journey because I waited 20 years for something to happen like this. I was once very skinny when I was a kid due to lots of health problems especially diabetes I gained alot of weight always hunger thirsty etc..I'm still training my brain to say no on certain things. It def works so far. I lost around 50 pounds since last year or was it forty pounds and I'm trying my best to loose it the diets working that im on I eat more veggies rather then candy. What are your thoughts on sugar free candy I think there are additives in it I cut those out as well.

Hello, I have noticed a lot of the stuff we eat or drink cost way more on Amazon but it is more convenient. I just thought I would give you a heads up , based on my experience. Your choice, I sometimes just pay it because the free shipping makes up for the cost difference of having it delivered with shipping fees somewhere else too. Sometimes I order stuff from Walmart too, or I go to Bj's. (need membership)

Everyone has a different opinion on the SF stuff. I have heard it makes you crave sugar more but I don't have an opinion on that. Sugar alcohols give A LOT of people diarrhea, so you might want to watch that too. I personally don't like SF candies so I just avoid it and if I really have the urge will eat a small piece of something sweet with real sugar.

I do drink SF drinks tho and don't mind them so I don't know what the difference is for me. I have never been a sweet drink person so that may have something to do with it. I LOVE SF lemonade!

Good luck to you!

No problem! You will find lots of support here.

But, also lots of different opinions which could become overwhelming especially in the early stages when you are still learning and getting used to everything.

Over anything else, listen to your team and Dietician! You are trusting them with your life while preforming surgery, so you should be trusting them throughout the entire process. And you will soon learn everyone's surgeon and bariatric team have different rules and guidelines.

I have to agree I accept others opinions I have very high confidence my surgery is gonna go fantastic. I know there's a lot of stuff we should not eat I stopped myself before I even knew about what kind of process I had to do I've been reading the blue book. I know after surgery to drink and sip on only once from a very small amount. It's kinda amazing how many men and women lost so much weight and kept it off especially keeping the will to work out five days a week.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
