What does a slippage feel like?

Recommended Posts

I am not sure what is going on with me. I had a second fill last week. The doc put in 1 cc & then took out 1/2. I was banded on 10/5/07. My 1st fill was 12/6. On my 1st fill he put in 2 ccs & it was to tight he took out 1. this time on 11/6, he put the one in thinking I was good with 1 the last fill but, it was to tight. I needed the fill as I was getting very very hungry. Now, I can barely eat anything. When I do eat it gurgles soooooooooooo loud you can hear me in the office next to me! I can eat 2 bites & it starts... It hurts too, not a whole lot but I have a high threshold for pain, so my little bit may mean a whole lot of pain to others. I mean I took no pain pills for this surgery at all, even in the hospital I declined & said I'll be fine. I had a total hip replacement & I only hit the "pump" 2 times & they could not believe it. Anyway, I just do not think these noises & this little bit of pain is normal. Any ideas?

Search this thread for symptoms of a slip. It just sounds like you are too tight to me. Go in and have a little taken out.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
